I once thought boldly of myself—spoke only with those in power. A position grand I set my sights—to climb the highest tower.
With foot amiss I slipped and fell—my feet began to stumble. No longer within reach itself—my world began to crumble.
Self-seeking pride got in the way—humility now was needed. Moved past myself to trust in Him—my evil ways defeated.
I now think little of myself—seek only the One in power. I wait upon His hand to reach—and bring me to the place of honor.
