Life’s Tapestry

In the tapestry of life, we are uniquely blended threads that are strategically woven together by the Master Weaver.

He swiftly moves the shuttle seamlessly across the loom of our lives and marvels at the beauty before him. We, however, often see only the messy, knotted underside of pain, hurt, addiction or rejection. The Master feels the tension shift.

Taking special care, he holds his work close and protects each strand from unraveling or breaking. His mighty hand continues to weave the stronghold of love throughout each row and gently tacks it down with comfort and peace.

Next he adds a bold splash of purpose to cover guilty flaw lines beneath the surface and follows up by weaving in many rows of trust and compassion. He watches closely for loose, dark threads of temptation to surface and quickly pulls the fabric taunt until it falls nicely back into place.

Over time some threads become worn and brittle but with a watchful eye and an artists’ touch, the Master carefully weaves together specialty strands, in perfect timing, to reinforce his work.

He never tires in perfecting this tapestry and knows it will be his best work ever.

“The LORD has given them special skills as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet thread on fine linen cloth, and weavers. They excel as craftsmen and as designers.” Exodus 35:35 (NIV)
