Passages of Time

WAITING

In a fast-past world where we want things now—patience is but a word. Irritation arises within our souls—don’t wait upon the Lord.

Amidst the wait we give a ‘helping’ hand—where one was not needed. Bypass His promises and doubt His ways—warnings are not heeded.

When things go wrong we quickly pass the blame—think God does not see all. Must look beyond ourselves on bended knee—to save us from the fall.

God’s timing is perfect and promises true—beauty in every day. Wait on the Master and don’t intervene—only He knows the way.

AWAKEN

It starts with the Word and continues through prayer—can spread from here to anywhere.

The Spirit takes hold as God’s hand directs—His power is felt as love intersects.

Lives will be changed with fire and wind—Forgiveness given to all who have sinned.

Take hold of His Word and pray from your heart—a revival is near and here it can start.

To Know Me

The times that you may wander—my eye is on you still. I’ll risk my flock of many—to search each gorge and hill.

Rejoice the day I find you—a party is at hand. My love for you is endless—your value to me is grand.

One coin was lost of plenty—to some may not be much. The need to find it matters—repentance is a must.

My son you wanted freedom—left family in disgrace. I won’t come running after—but I long for your embrace.

At last your eyes were opened—once dead but now you live. A celebration is in order—a feast is what I give.

Oh brother hold your anger—all that I have is yours. Once lost he lives forever—we are family evermore.

Power vs Power

I once thought boldly of myself—spoke only with those in power. A position grand I set my sights—to climb the highest tower.

With foot amiss I slipped and fell—my feet began to stumble. No longer within reach itself—my world began to crumble.

Self-seeking pride got in the way—humility now was needed. Moved past myself to trust in Him—my evil ways defeated.

I now think little of myself—seek only the One in power. I wait upon His hand to reach—and bring me to the place of honor.
